The black list, the hit list,
the list of Google's world wide web....
I swerved through the dark corners of the filtered Net
Finally, I found you on Facebook, I ADDED you
-- and you IGNORED me.
Hundreds, hundreds of times...
I didn't falter, I didn't give up
I UPDATED my STATUS so the world would know:
You are the hunter and I am the prey!
And I'm trying to fall into your trap!
Yes, I've been all over LinkedIn, MySpace, ORKUT,
trying to fall into your trap...
I had the guys from FARS NEWS AGENCY PHOTOSHOP my PROFILE picture
and make me look cool.
I uploaded romantic pictures of the sunset from FLICKR to my
ALBUMS and CAPTIONED them with silly quotes from OSHO
-- And finally, you ACCEPTED me
I FOLLOWED you like a shadow in the COMMUNITIES.
Everything you LINKED, I LIKED,
and I SHARED too
I TAGGED your name under YouTube videos,
I INVITED you to EVENTS,
I through myself against doors and WALLs
Whether you think of me or not, I'll never forget you.
My eyes are peeled, searching for you.
I'll send you GIFTS, so that you'll realise
-- I'll never forget you.
You've set your RELATIONSHIP to IT'S COMPLICATED.
That's my cue--I'm the Don Juan of the Cyber World!
I'll POKE you until you agree to log into SKYPE and CHAT with me!
Even the Cyber Army can't stop me...
Don't stress over your BLOG or your HITS on IRANIAN.com, BALATARIN or BBC.
From the cute LINKS to the political ones
-- anything goes for me.
Nothing can stop me-
not JARAS,
not ROOZONLINE,
nor KHODNEVIS.
I care only for Romance!
I wrote it in PINGILISH on BEHNEVIS:
Oh love, oh love! Your blue face is nowhere to be seen...
Oh love, oh love! Maybe they've HACKED you...
Your beloved face is nowhere to be found!
I adore your every PIXEL!
Don't you CLICK me away!

My Iranian version of Abbey Road by The Beatles: Haj Ebrahim Road (Ebi Road) in Tehran.
On the 8 August 1969 -exactly 40 years ago- one of the most imitated album covers was shot in Abbey Road by the Fab Four.
Abbey Road Webcam - You could try to catch people imitating the Fab Four pose!

A tombak (also known as tonbak, donbak, dombak and zarb) is a goblet drum from Iran. It is considered the principal percussion instrument of Persian music. A tombak player holds the drum diagonally across his lap with the wider section usually over his right side and plays it with the fingers and the palm of the hands.

A daf is a large-sized frame drum used to accompany both popular and classical music in Iran, Kurdistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey (where it is called tef), Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and India (where it is known as the Dafli).
Abjeez is Iran's answer to BeeGees!
Abjeez is persian slang for sisters and that’s just what they are - Safoura and Melody Safavi. Backed by a group of musicians, the two sisters present their own brand of Persian pop.

Based in Canada, Babak and his friends have started a music production company to produce Iranian Alternative Music.
>> Kiosk and their debut album "adameh mamooli" (Ordinary Man).

Last night I went to the gig by the Turkish DJ Mercan Dede. His music is a great fusion of rhythmic Middle Eastern grooves played by Clarinet, Qanún, Drums and Ney. It all held together by Mercan on deck and helped by the entrancing sight of a whirling dervish. Great Stuff!
You can download and listen to his music here.
Play Music Magazine gives a whole new meaning to e-zine. The site is technically great.

Today I came across the Haale's web site. She is a Bronx-born Iranian singer/songwriter who alternates between strumming her setar and plucking her guitar, singing both in Persian and English. You can listen to some of her music here.
